Research Abstract

歯ならびに顎骨の再生は、再生医学研究の分野において21世紀の課題の1つである。その再生のソースには胚性未分化(ES)細胞があげられる。ES細胞はその多能性と自己複製能を兼ね備えた万能細胞として注目されているが、その分化をコントロールすることはとても難しい。本研究では、歯ならびに顎骨の由来組織である神経堤細胞の発生に関与する因子を明確にし、マウスES細胞からの効率的な神経堤細胞の分化誘導法を確立した。
