| Research Abstract |
わが国における肝臓癌の95%以上は、B型肝炎ウイルスやC型肝炎ウイルスの持続感染が原因です。これらの肝炎ウイルスは、肝臓の病気だけではなく、さまざまな肝臓病以外の病気も起こしてくることがわかっています。皮膚や粘膜に現れる扁平苔癬もその一つです。本研究を通じて、C型肝炎ウイルスに感染している扁平苔癬患者はインスリン抵抗性が高いこと、インスリン抵抗性の高いC型肝炎ウイルス関連の口腔癌は重複癌を発症しやすいことがわかりました。インスリン抵抗性とは、インスリン濃度に見合った作用が得られない状態を指します。C型肝炎ウイルス感染者は、肝臓病だけでなく、扁平苔癬や口腔癌、そして重複癌について注意深く経過観察する必要があります。
