Research Abstract

土壌酸性化の樹木への影響を、根の生理指標を用いて評価する方法を確立するために、樹木への影響要因であるアルミニウムが、根の生理指標の一つカロース(多糖類の一種)蓄積量に与える影響を調べた。スギでは、他の樹種と異なった根端のアルミニウム蓄積特性により、過剰アルミニウム環境下で根端にカロースが蓄積されにくいことが明らかとなった。スギ根のカロース蓄積量は土壌酸性化に対する根の指標として有効でない可能性が示唆された。
