Research Abstract

古墳築造南限域における前方後円墳の実体解明を目指し、古墳時代社会の境界領域の地域特性と地域間交流の様態から国家形成期における領域構造の解明を目指した。本研究によって鹿児島県神領10号墳の発掘調査を実施し、埋葬施設・副葬品・墳丘構造に関わる多くの情報が得られ、きわめて多様な地域間交流を行う境界領域の実態を明らかにした。
