Research Abstract |
赤外領域で動作する非線形光学材料であるカーボンナノチューブの非線形光学応答について研究した。孤立化したカーボンナノチューブのゼラチン薄膜に電場を加え、吸収スペクトル、発光スペクトルの変化を観測した。その結果、吸収スペクトルで観測される明励起子のほかに、明励起子とほとんど縮退した一光子遷移禁制準位である暗励起子が観測され、非線形光学応答に重要な寄与をあたえることが明らかになった。
