| Research Abstract |
原虫感染症は畜産・獣医学領域のみならず、医学領域においても甚大な被害を与えている。根本的な原虫病の撲滅をはかるためには、原虫独特の生活環を遮断することができる抗原虫薬・駆虫薬の開発が求められる。本研究では、原虫プロテインキナーゼに焦点を当て、プロテインキナーゼの機能発現機構を基質、会合分子との相互作用の点から解析することにより、新たな抗原虫薬開発へとつながる原虫の遺伝子発現機構、シグナル伝達機構の根本的な解明、また、開発に有用な基礎的データの蓄積を行った。
