Research Abstract

脂肪細胞の分化・成熟には、複数の転写因子から構成される複雑なネットワークの活性化が必要である。我々はHZFと呼ばれるRNA結合タンパク質が脂肪細胞分化に不可欠であるC/EBPαの発現を翻訳レベルで制御していることを見出した。HZF非存在下では脂肪細胞の分化に異常が見られること、またHZFノックアウトマウスは著しいインスリン抵抗性を示すことを発見した。
