| Research Abstract |
建造物による遮音・防音対策を施してもなお残る会話・電話などの有意味騒音に対して、音楽や自然音などの種々のマスキング音を付加することによって、騒音が知的作業に及ぼす影響をどの程度軽減できるかについて、生理・心理学的側面から調査した。騒音の意味性の違いにより、作業者の脳波や主観的反応および作業成績に有意な差異が現れ、マスキングによって有意味騒音を無意味騒音に質的変化させ得ることの可能性の一端が認められた。
