Research Abstract

標高にともなう大気圧変化が生態系からのメタン等の温暖化ガス放出に及ぼす影響を検証するために、大気圧を調整できる大型チャンバーシステムを開発し、このチャンバーシステムによる室内実験と、実際に野外調査をチベット高原の高山草原で行った。本研究によって、長期間の連続低圧環境が維持可能な実験システムの開発に成功した。一方、実際の野外調査では、高山環境下での低気圧がメタン放出に与える影響は明らかに出来なかったが、CO_2に関してはほとんど影響がないことを明らかにした。
