| Research Abstract |
江戸時代、能は江戸幕府の式楽として武家儀礼の中に位置づけられた。一方、将軍の慰みとしての能は、武家儀礼の場から切り離され、奥能・中奥能という別の場を与えられた。江戸幕府の能に関する従来の研究は、前者の式楽としての側面に焦点を当てたものが少なくなかったが、本研究では、将軍の私的な演能も含めて、江戸幕府の能を総合的に明らかにすべく、演能データベースを構築することをめざした。そのデータ収集のため、番組帳や日記類から演能記録を抽出し、従来研究の少なかった江戸後期の将軍家斉・家慶時代の奥能・中奥能について、基礎的なデータベースを作成した。
