Research Abstract

パルサー星雲は宇宙の巨大加速器として知られていますが、その加速メカニズムはよくわかっていません。本研究では、その代表天体であるカニパルサー星雲とベラパルサー星雲について硬X線観測をおこない、以下のような成果を得ました。まず前者に関しては、見た目が時間と共に変化する様子を詳細に示しました。また、後者に関しては、その見た目の形を初めて明らかにしました。以上の観測結果を他波長の観測結果と照らし合わせるなどして、パルサー星雲の加速メカニズムに関して新たな示唆を得ました。
