Research Abstract

系外惑星系の普遍性や多様性、第二の地球は存在するかという疑問に答える事を目指し、1) 系外惑星の直接検出, 惑星質量天体の観測的解明を目的として、すばる望遠鏡などの大型望遠鏡を用いた、若い前主系列星や太陽近傍の恒星の周囲に存在する原始惑星や原始惑星系円盤の探査観測、及び恒星の伴星でなく単独で存在する惑星質量天体や褐色矮星など超低質量天体の詳細観測2) 地球型生命を持つ系外地球型惑星検出計画にむけた数値計算法による基礎研究を進めた。
