| Research Abstract |
2,3-エピチオアロースにより構成された環状オリゴ糖の構成糖残基全てを、2,3-ジデヒドロキシグルコースへとほぼ定量的に変換し、続くオスミウム酸化により、構成糖残基をすべてマンースに変換したβ-シクロマンニンを合成することに成功した。また、β-シクロマンニンの構造及び機能を検討し、その高い水溶性とゲスト分子包接機能を明らかにした。
