| Research Abstract |
被嚢(ひのう)はホヤの仲間に特有の外皮組織であり、自然界で唯一の動物セルロースを含む組織である。カタユウレイボヤ(Ciona intestinalis)の被嚢の大半はタンパク質によって構成されているが、その分子的な実体は全くの不明であった。本研究では、最新のプロテオミクスの手法を導入して(LCタンデムマス法)、被嚢を構成するタンパク質分子50種を初めて明らかにした。
