Research Abstract

社会性昆虫であるモンゼンイスアブラムシの兵隊幼虫は、ゴール(巣)が捕食者に襲われた時に生じる穴を自分の体から放出した液体によって埋め固めて修復するという、自己犠牲的なゴール修復行動を示す。本研究では、このゴール修復現象について、兵隊分泌液が凝固する分子基盤を解明するとともに、兵隊による修復が行われた後に起こるゴール側の現象について調査を行い、昆虫-ゴール間の相互作用について明らかにした。
