| Research Abstract |
亜酸化窒素は、二酸化炭素、メタンについで大きな温室効果ガスである。森林土壌は亜酸化窒素の放出源であるが、放出メカニズムの解明は不十分である。そこで、斜面上部が落葉広葉樹林、斜面下部がスギ林の森林小流域で、土壌からの亜酸化窒素放出量を3年にわたって観測した。その結果、斜面上部広葉樹林よりも斜面下部スギ林で亜酸化窒素放出量が大きかった。これは、斜面下部スギ林では土壌水分率が高く、亜酸化窒素を生成する微生物が活動しやすいためと考えられた。
