| Research Abstract |
マレーシアにおいて熱帯二次林樹種の葉の生理生態特性、萌芽特性の解明を行った。二次林樹種の葉は、葉脈や葉毛が良く発達し、乾燥など環境ストレスに強い形態をしていることが明らかになった。二次林樹種の萌芽は小さい個体ほど活発で、大きな個体になると萌芽能力が低下することが分かった。また根に貯蔵されているデンプン濃度が高いほど活発に萌芽することも明らかになった。
