Research Abstract

モデル樹木として遺伝子情報や実験技術等が蓄積・整備されつつあるポプラ(セイヨウハコヤナギ)を研究対象とし、樹木全般に応用可能な花成抑制技術の開発に必要不可欠と考えられる、花成抑制に関わる遺伝子の単離とその発現特性及びポプラやシロイヌナズナの組換え実験系を利用した遺伝子ごとの花成抑制効果について解析した。さらに、ポプラから単離した減数分裂に関与するPnDmc1を抑制し、さらに、早期開花になるように組換えたポプラでは、胚珠の形成が異常になった花が観察された。
