Research Abstract

運動神経細胞において,代謝ストレスによりグリシン放出が促進され,本来は抑制性作用を示すこの神経伝達物質がシナプス間隙においてspilloverし,NMDA受容体に対しては共作動物質として機能し,最終的には興奮性作用のあるNMDA受容体活性が増強され,選択的に細胞死が誘導されることを,世界で初めて電気生理学的に証明した.
