Outline of Final Research Achievements	We proposed how to handle the learning items and objectives listed in the "Core Curriculum for Foreign Language (English) in the Elementary School Teacher Training Course" and the "Core Curriculum for Foreign Language (English) in the Middle and High School Teacher Training Course" in the form of a Model Program. To create the Model Program, we verified the validity and effectiveness of the prior implementation of the Core Curriculum, conducted a questionnaire survey of university faculty members, interviewed university faculty members, and examined the syllabi of each university. Based on these surveys, we compiled a report on the Comprehensive and Concrete Model Programs, prepared a brochure with the essentials, and sent it to universities with teacher training programs. We also made a presentation at AILA, the world's leading conference on applied linguistics.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements	英語教育改革の実現のためには、小・中・高の各校種で教鞭をとる教員の果たす役割が大きいことは言を俟たない。養成段階で学習するべき項目と目標を挙げるにとどまらず、教育実習や英語力の伸長等について具体的なアイディアを示した包括的なモデルプログラム、各項目をどのように工夫して授業で扱うかを示した具体的なプログラムを作成した意義は大きいと考えている。
