Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this research project we have tackled the issue of how to evaluate business and corporate law. We have investigated various statutes and case laws in the area of business/corporate law and considered on what normative standards those rules are based. We have also examined a normative question, that is, what value (or values) business/corporate law should promote.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究は，企業法制はどのような基準によって設計されており，また設計されるべきであるかについて考察したものであり，企業に関する法学・経済学の発展に大きく寄与するとともに，現実の法制度設計にも貢献するものである。また，本研究は，多様な専門領域を持つ法学者と経済学者が協力して実施された研究であり，学際的な研究プロジェクトとして位置づけられ，今後の学際的研究の基盤を形成するものでもある。
