奇パリティ多極子物質科学の創生に向けた理論研究:分類学・電磁応答・超伝導

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

これまでに行った奇パリティ多極子に関する理論研究の成果のさらなる展開を目指し、エキゾチック超伝導相に関する研究を行った。
局所的な空間反転対称性がない結晶における超伝導において、超伝導相のパリティが偶から奇に相転移するパリティ転移が起こることを研究代表者の柳瀬は2012年に予言した。その予想に沿う多重超伝導相がCeRh2As2において実験的に発見されたことを受けて、この物質の超伝導相を解明する理論研究を行った。まず、奇パリティ超伝導相が非共型対称性に保護されたトポロジカル結晶超伝導相であることを示した。次に、反強磁性量子臨界揺らぎの効果を取り入れた多体超伝導理論により、温度磁場相図の計算を行った。その結果がCeRh2As2の実験結果と定量的にも一致したことから、この物質でパリティ転移が起こっていることが裏付けられた。
また、超伝導体における非線形光学応答の研究を行った。空間反転対称性が破れた超伝導状態における光電流や二次高調波発生などの二次非線形光学応答を定式化し、そのミクロな分類を行った。その結果、超伝導体に特有の非線形応答が存在し、それが伝導度微分項と非相反超流動密度項として数学的に表現できることを示した。また、時間反転対称性が保たれた系において超伝導非線形応答が起こるミクロな条件を検証し、そこではスピン三重項クーパー対が存在する必要があることを示した。この結果により、非線形光学応答によってスピン三重項クーパー対を検出することが可能であることがわかり、将来的な展望が拓かれた。
このほか、超伝導体の圧電効果、超伝導体における量子幾何学などの理論研究を行い、同時に実験グループとの共同研究を多数実施した。
