微小重力科学による素過程極限理解とエンジン用複雑系混相燃焼への展開

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究の目的は,これまでの液滴間燃え広がりにおいて考慮されて来なかったが,2017年に申請者らが国際宇宙ステーション「きぼう」日本実験棟において行った宇宙実験から得られた群燃焼発現限界に関わる「問い」においてキーとなる「冷炎」「輻射消炎」の燃え広がりにおける役割を調べることである.
2019年度には,近赤外カメラによる液滴燃焼画像計測を行い,液滴支持細線からの近赤外輻射を利用した温度計測法について開発を行った.そして,本手法を落下実験に適用し,液滴間燃え広がりにおける冷炎発生の間接的な確認と冷炎温度計測を行えることが確認できた.特に,周囲気体圧力が大気圧および0.3MPaにおいて,燃え広がり限界付近の狭い液滴間隔範囲で冷炎が発生することが確認できた.ただし,冷炎を伴った状態で蒸発完了し,熱炎への移行は観察されなった.液滴まわりに冷炎が発生している間,液滴まわりの温度場が700 K~800 K程度の高温に保たれることも明らかとなった.EMCCDカメラを用いた冷炎の直接計測も試みたが,現時点では冷炎の検出を行えていない.本検討と並行して,亜・超臨界圧における燃料蒸気吹き出しによる火炎と液滴間燃え広がり挙動の関係の把握を行うとともに,国際宇宙ステーションで実施したランダム分散液滴群の燃え広がり実験における特異現象の解析も進めた.また,宇宙実験で得られた液滴干渉を伴う場合の燃え広がり限界増大効果について,パーコレーションモデルへの組み込みについても検討を行った.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

EMCCDカメラを用いた冷炎の直接検出を試みるとともに,冷炎の発生条件の絞り込みによる宇宙実験条件の選定を行う.
