Outline of Annual Research Achievements

近年、新しいパラダイムにより超高速計算を可能にする量子コンピュータの実現が切望されており、集積化に有利とされるシリコン(Si)基板の量子ドットデバイスによる量子コンピュータの実装研究が進められている。しかしながら現実の量子ビットには様々なエラーが伴うため、エラーを検出し訂正することのできる物理的機構や制御回路の実現が必要である。本課題では、量子エラー訂正回路をはじめ様々なエラーの抑制・訂正に必要とされるフィードフォワード・フィードバック制御技術の基盤を確立することを目標としている。
2022年度は、Si量子ドットデバイスにおいて量子ビットへの影響が大きい電気雑音の制御に注力した。その影響が特に大きくなる2ビットゲート操作時に、電気雑音の影響による量子ビット周波数ずれを検出し、量子ビット制御電圧にフィードバックすることによって2ビット操作時の位相コヒーレンスを改善する実験を実施した。これに関連して、クーロン相互作用により近傍の量子ビットにおける雑音が一定の相関を有することを明らかにし、その影響を定量的に評価する手法を確立した。また、量子ビットの状態を測定しその結果に応じて制御パルスにフィードバックすることにより、量子ビットのアクティブリセット(初期化)を実現した。これと並行して3つの量子ビットを用いた測定によらない位相エラー訂正の実証実験も報告した。これらの技術を組み合わせることによって、測定ベースの量子エラー訂正を実現する基盤技術を確立することができた。
