Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, we focused on both individual player skills and team tactics in team sports. The project designed, developed, and evaluated learning support systems in various contexts for them. Particular concerns of our project was cognitive skill development. The concrete targets have the similar characteristics or properties in playing; i.e. basketball and soccer. Further, we developed typical tactical extraction functions based on internal representations of the actual data and applied them to learning. For individual skill learning, we applied acceleration sensors and eye tracking technology to analyze and provide information for offensive and defensive skills. As a result, we were able to design an effective environment for player skill and team tactical learning. In addition, we also developed a prototype environment that combines a two-dimensional plane from bird's-eye view and a three-dimensional stereoscopic view.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

チームスポーツの学習においては,対象スポーツの特徴に対応した学習支援システムを導入することで,プレイヤ個々の認知スキルに寄与することができる.また,チーム戦術は時系列変化するプレイヤの位置を座標表現することで,その戦術パタンを抽出することが可能であり,パタン化された戦術は,それをメタな視点で捉えることにより,チーム内のプレイヤやコーチが客観的に学ぶことも可能になる.こうした環境の試作が実現できた.
