Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では,高い生態系サービス機能を有する藻場の保全に向けて,地下水が沿岸環境の多様性形成に及ぼす影響を評価することを目的とし,初年度に該当する今年は以下の内容を実施した.
(1) SGD(Submarine Groundwater Discharge)にともなう淡水,熱,栄養塩輸送の空間分布および季節変化の定量的評価:沿岸域に藻場が分布し,申請者らによる研究結果の蓄積がある瀬戸内海の島嶼(主にA: 広島県生口島およびB: 岡山県鹿久居島)を調査対象とし,これらの島の沿岸部において,海底湧水のトレーサーとなる塩分,水温,ラドン(222Rn),濁度,クロロフィル(Chl.-a)および栄養塩(窒素,リン,珪素)濃度の空間分布を確認した.
(2) 藻場の空間分布および季節的消長と陸水流入の関係性評価:対象地域における人工衛星データの収集およびUAV(ドローン)を用いた空撮を行い,それらの結果から沿岸部におけるNDVI(Normalized Difference Vegetation Index)を算出し,その値から推定される藻場の分布をマッピングした.
(3) 陸域の地下水流動状況が藻場に及ぼす影響のモデル化:対象地域の陸域における地下水および河川水のモニタリング(水位,水温,栄養塩濃度変化)を実施し,流域地下水流出モデル構築の準備(既存情報の収集・データベース作成,境界条件の設定など)を行った.

3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.

Reason

平成31年1月,現地観測中に,沿岸域でのラドン測定に使用していた機材に不測の故障が生じたため,当機材の修理・調整が必要となり,ラドン沿岸観測・データ整理を完了するまでに追加の時間を要することとなった.ラドン測定以外の項目については,当初の予定どおり進んでいる.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

予期せぬ機器のトラブルにより,沿岸域でのラドン測定およびデータ整理に多少の遅れが生じたため,その項目については今後スピードアップを図っていく.
