Outline of Final Research Achievements

This international comparative study has been promoted for four years (five years including carry-over) with regard to education policy-practice cooperation in Asia and Africa: Malaysia, Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malawi, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Republic of South Africa and Ethiopia.
The study highlights the gap between education policies and practices in Asian and African countries concretely.Furthermore, the pointing out of the existence of this gap proves that the original perspective of this study, which stated that policy-practice collaboration was necessary and that there was room for a functioning medium for collaboration, was an appropriate one.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

研究成果の学術的意義は、対象国群のあり方からみるに、政策と実践の間には、大きな溝があるほうが常態、前提であると考えた方がいいこと、またこのギャップを埋めるための政策-実践連携が実際に存在、何らかの媒介が機能する余地があることを明らかにした点である。またこのことは政策と実践の間にある媒介的存在へのインプット可能性が示されたことになる。
