Outline of Annual Research Achievements

トポロジカル絶縁体でのエーデルシュタイン効果の定式化と候補物質選定・計算を行った。また絶縁体におけるコーナー電荷の量子化について、2次元での一般的な定式化を行い、さらに3次元においては代表的な多面体形状の結晶におけるコーナー電荷やヒンジ電荷密度の定式化を行った。また非エルミート系について、非エルミート表皮効果のスケーリング則の定式化、Bogoliubov-de Gennes型ボソン系での特異な物性、非ブロッホ理論のフォトニック結晶への展開などを行った。またらせん系の結晶構造を持つ系でのカイラルフォノンについて、擬運動量の定式化とそれによる光学選択則、またらせん対称性が厳密でなく近似的になりたつ場合のフォノン角運動量と光学選択則の議論を、物質の例も織り交ぜて行った。さらに、映進対称性に守られたトポロジカル結晶絶縁体においては、トポロジカル表面状態が現れると表面エネルギーが増加することを示して、それによりトポロジカル相においては非トポロジカル相と比べて結晶形状が異なり、特異な形となることを示した。また2次元系で、絶縁体相から別の絶縁体相へとワイル半金属相をまたいで転移する際には、一般に電気分極がジャンプすることを示し、そのジャンプの大きさは、間に挟まるワイル半金属相でのワイル点同士の相対位置、すなわち「ワイル双極子」で書けることを示した。また3次元系でのノーダルラインが、系の変化に伴ってトポロジー変化をする事象を、モース理論を用いて分類できることを示した。また、本研究課題で明らかとなった高次トポロジカル相としてのアパタイト電子化物の成果を踏まえて、空隙電子・共有結合の生むトポロジカル物性を検討した。特にアパタイト電子化物についてはエレクトライド化しやすい組成の検討、特に選択可能なカチオンサイトやp原子サイトの中から、安定性や融点などの観点から候補物質の選定を行った。
