Outline of Annual Research Achievements

タスク1 風波砕波後の渦構造の遷移とエアレーションによる運動量・熱輸送効果の解明:(1)波面上に形成される乱流境界層流れを3次元Large Eddy Simulationによって計算し,風速に依存した渦構造の遷移によって海面抵抗の特徴が大きく変化することが明らかになった.乱流が未発達な低速風場に従来のバルクモデルを適用すると過大な海面抵抗を与える可能性があり,結果的に高風速に対して海面抵抗の低下が現れる可能性がある.(2)高速風洞水槽の更正試験を行い,高風速波浪場の再現実験の準備を整えた.(3)白浜海象観測塔において気象海象集中観測を行い,有意な高潮災害を引き起こした2018年台風21号を含む台風下の暴波浪とエアレーションの特徴を抽出し,モデル化を行った.ほぼ海面全面が白波化する暴浪下では従来の白波被覆率の計算が不能になるため,新たな分析法の開発に着手した.
タスク2 micro-breakingによる熱・気体輸送フラックスのパラメタリゼーション:(1)風洞水槽で発生する初期波面上の海表面温度と水面形及び表層流れとの関係を明らかにした.熱境界層厚の低下による海面温度の上昇後,波面上の風のストリークの発生による海面温度の組織化を経て,毛管波の形成に依存した海中への熱供給が促進される.(2) 紋別市ガリンコタワーにおいて爆弾低気圧下の海象及び熱輸送を調査するための観測準備を整えた.ドップラーレーダーの解析アルゴリズムを開発し,時化時の波高及び表層流れの面的分布を分析した.
タスク3 局所海面抵抗と海水面温度の全球気候,波候への影響評価:GCMに波浪による海面抵抗を導入し,気候変動への影響を評価する開発済みのGCM波浪結合モデルによって強風時の海面抵抗低減効果を含めたモデルに対して感度分析を行った.

Reason

実験,観測で新たに生じた問題を解決するための手法の開発を随時行い,全てのタスクにおいて,予定通りの研究を進めることができた.新たに北海道オホーツク沿岸に観測サイトを構築し,オホーツク海に停滞する傾向のある爆弾低気圧に対する海象の応答を分析する準備が整い,研究目標の達成に向けた新たなアプローチの適用が可能になった.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

当初の計画通り全てのタスクを分担者と共に進めていく.昨年度中に高速風洞水槽及び新規のオホーツク観測サイトの準備が整い,それぞれのタスクの目標の達成に向けて分析を開始する.
