Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では,変動環境下に適用可能な,砕波帯・陸棚・外洋をシームレスに接続するマルチスケール統合型沿岸環境解析システムの決定版とも呼ぶべき海洋モ デリング技術開発を行った.本システムは,地球規模環境シグナルを厳密に考慮しつつ,人間活動や海洋生態系にとって重要な 役割を果たす沿岸域における精緻な解析,海流,波浪,河川,潮汐,風応力等の浅海物理学に求められる全ての要素を包含した流動環境,それに伴う栄養塩等の溶存物質,土砂や生物幼稚子等の懸濁質分散・循環の統一的な動態解析などが可能な画期的なシステムである.多段ネスティング,砕波帯スキーム,データ同化,物質分散モデルなどの新技術を統合した新システムを開発し,それを用いて東シナ海か ら黒潮続流域までの広域高解像度多段ネストモデリングを行うとともに,西日本全域太平洋岸における長期マルチスケール海洋再解析などを行った.最終年度であるR4年度,および延長したR5年度は,4段ネスティングモデルを用いた播磨灘・大阪湾物質分散モデリング,3段および4段ネスティングモデルを用いた沖縄本島海域の波浪を考慮した流動モデリングおよびラグランジュ粒子追跡,2段ネスティングモデルを用いた瀬戸内海全域の長期流動解析とラグランジュ粒子追跡を行った.播磨灘・大阪湾モデルでは下水処理場からの処理水排水の海洋拡散および周辺生態系への影響評価,沖縄本島モデルではサンゴ浮遊幼生分散解析を通じた浅場ー深場サンゴ生態系間のネットワーク構造解析,瀬戸内海モデルでは内湾流動に対する黒潮系外洋水影響とアマモ種子のコネクティビティ解析などを行なった.
