Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We developed phosphors based on organic-inorganic hybrid materials to be applied to radiation detection. We focused on materials design from a viewpoint of higher order structure to optimize the energy transfer efficiency or secondary electron transportation as well as the surroundings of optically active sites. We have developed novel scintillators for real-time radiation detection and thermally stimulated luminescence materials for dosimetry. In particular, organic-inorganic hybrid scintillators developed in this study exhibited excellent properties, which exceeded those of commercially available materials.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
