Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The first project: In this research work, the polystyrene-cross-linking bisphosphine ligand PS-DPPBz was effective for the Ir-catalyzed reversible acceptorless dehydrogenation/hydrogenation of N-heterocycles. Notably, this protocol is applicable to the dehydrogenation of N-substituted indoline derivatives with various N-substituents with different electronic and steric natures. A reaction pathway involving oxidative addition of an N-adjacent C(sp3)-H bond to a bisphosphine-coordinated Ir(I) center is proposed for the dehydrogenation of N-substituted substrates. (in manuscript) The second project: I have developed interpenetrating double networks for hydrogen storage carriers based on heterocyclic C(sp3)-H bond activation.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
1: Research has progressed more than it was originally planned.
Reason
The nature of catalyst will be investigated and the reaction mechanism should be studied carefully.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
When I finish the project of acceptorless dehydrogenation, I will focus on design new material of interpenetrating networks. Then I will develop new asymmetric functionalization of heterocycles.
