Outline of Annual Research Achievements

I continue to prepare for the Jack Kerouac exhibition to be held July 3 through August 8 2021, after a one-year postponement due to coronavirus. Research and preparation. Creation of a full-size replica of Kerouac's On the Road typescript.

Current Status of Research Progress

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

We will hold the exhibition in conjunction with a special display of Beat Generation books and other materials from Flying Books in Tokyo.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

We will publish the exhibition catalog as an academic text. We will hold an academic symposium that will be broadcast live online.
