The original purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of articulatory training on both audition and pronunciation. Because of the pandemic, it was impossible to carry out research on audition, as students were not physically present to undergo auditory measurements.
The experimental phase of the study was thus carried out this FY2021 solely on the effects of articulatory training on pronunciation. Students from four Basic level French classes responded to a questionnaire, two classes received articulatory training, all four classes took three French pronunciation tests over the year. Data was recorded and compiled.
Data has been compiled and is currently being processed for statistical analysis.
