Outline of Annual Research Achievements

During the first 12 months of this project: (1) an extensive literature review has been conducted, (2) findings have been consolidated by means of N-Vivo software, (3) approval from the ethics boards of 3 universities has been obtained, (4) a pilot study has been completed. (5) one academic paper has been written and is currently under consideration by an academic journal for publication.

Current Status of Research Progress

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

We were only able to obtain approval from the ethics boards of 3 universities, when we were hoping for 4 universities.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

From here on, we plan to: (1) finalise the details of the telecollaboration program, (2) implement the program in 3 universities, (4) conduct the case study, (5) collect all the data we need, (6) undergo a preliminary analysis of the data, and (7) write up and present the results of the study.

Causes of Carryover

This amount is needed to purchase books and academic articles related to the subject under investigation. We also anticipate that this will be needed for at least one domestic conference to gain information on what other researchers are currently doing.
