| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In the fiscal year of 2022, the research project progressed in 3 main aspects. First, the analysis of data previously collected via online surveys was completed. Second, in order to confirm its findings, additional follow-up online surveys were conducted in 3 of the studied countries, i.e. Japan, US and Germany. Their results confirmed several previous findings with regards to the role of harm and private use and shed new light on the aspects which are taken into consideration by the general public during its assessment of the wrongfulness of copying another person's copyrighted work, such as in the cases of plagiarism, counterfeiting and illegal uploading of copyrighted works.
Third, the research results were presented at an international conference and prepared for publication abroad.
