Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は、戦後日本の統治制度改革について、安全保障的な観点に注目し、占領軍との関連で、軍官・軍民関係及び文化・言語邂逅の側面から日本戦後政治史の分析を進めている。2019年度は、著書及び論文を執筆し、国際学会で報告し、国内で資料調査を実施した。資料については、国会図書館および沖縄で文献を中心に調べた。沖縄における研究調査としては沖縄県立公文書館、各地域の図書館・郷土資料館および文化会館、さらに琉球大学図書館において文献資料を調べた。
研究成果として、2019年8月10日に長崎市でIPSA国際政治学会の安全保障・紛争・民主化研究委員会のシンポジウムを主催し、"Risks of a Military Occupation: A View from Japan"と題する報告を行った。ほかには研究テーマに間接的に関連する国内講演も行った。
学術書としては、コンペル　ラドミール『長い終戦 ―戦後初期の沖縄分離をめぐる行政過程』成文社、2020年を執筆し、Steven Ratuva, Radomir Compel, et al. eds., The Palgrave Handbook of Ethnicity,　Palgrave Springer, 2019, 3 volsを編集した。
学術論文および分担執筆として編著 The Palgrave Handbook of Ethnicityにおいて"Foreign Military Occupations and Ethnicity"および"Ethnic Relations and Policy Responses"と題する章を執筆し, Journal for Peace and Nuclear Disarmamentにおいて "Can the Atomic Bombings on Japan Be Justified?"の共同執筆に携わった。ほかに、研究テーマに間接的に関連する文献も執筆した。

Reason

国内学会および研究会のみならず国際学会において研究成果を公表した。また、研究に必要な資料を収集しこれに関連する調査を進めている。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

これまで収集した資料を分析し、他の資料の確認を行う。海外においては、主に米国立公文書館での資料収集を継続する予定である。また国内としては、国立国会図書館や地域公文書館および図書館で調査を継続することを予定している。
