1. Completed comprehensive literature review on Public Value, social impact, Integrated Reporting and Shared Value, and comparative analysis of methodological approaches to measures social Outcomes and social impact
2. 6-month resarch stay by research assistant at Wuppertal Institute to investigate Stadtwerke management, Business model, strategy, Performance / Stadtwerke field Research (Wuppertal Stadtwerke case study); comparative analysis of international practices in public Administration to incorporate of the Concept of Public Value into public performance measurement and governance (e.g., Public Value measurement in UK, NZ, Australia, Citizen Value / Public Value Scorecard / Public Value Map in Germany), and Gommon Good Economy / Common Good Balance Sheet in Austria and Germany
3. Presented full paper on Public Value and Public Corporate Governance of Stadtwerke at Japan Association of Local Public Finance (日本地方財政学会）
4．publication of two discussion papers in Japanese on Stadtwerke (management Performance / corporate governance)
5. Submission of three academic papers at peer-reviewed Journals (one accepted, two under review)

3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
Due to Covid19 there is a delay in the planned field research and case study on Public Value at Japanese municipalities, because interviews are not possible

1. Survey of Public Value in Japan based on Public Value Map methodology (in collaboration with Prof. Meynhardt University ofApplied Science Leipzig/Germany)
2. Case study on public value at Japanese municipalities / regional utilities (Kaga, Otsu, Yonago)
3. organization of international conference on Public Value in Japan in March 2021
4. presentation of research results at Public Value Conference in Lisbon/Portugal in January 2021
5. publication of paper on public value theory and practice
