Outline of Annual Research Achievements

I successfully completed my research on regional cooperation in Northeast Asian higher education and wrote up the findings. This work has now been developed into a number of journal papers which have been submitted to international journals and are now pending review. I aim to publish in both English and Japanese and my intention was to present this work at a number of academic conferences. As these conferences are now postponed due to the pandemic I will present my work online through various official webinars.

I hope to publish this research in a variety of channels during 2020 and early 2021.

Current Status of Research Progress

Reason

The bulk of the research is complete. I am now in the process of publishing my work. The project has gone according to schedule.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

I intend to write up a scholarly book and work with other scholars on related collaborative research.

Causes of Carryover

My original plan was to travel internationally to present my work at conferences but due to the pandemic I have decided to spend this funding on a new computer which will enable me to conduct effective online presentations and write up my research into book form.
