Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In the first year of this project, our project is progressing smoothly as we expected. Here we summarize our project in the past year as below: (1) the idea has been numerically approved through simulation; (2) the original idea of the project has been further extended for synthesizing high-order sub-carrier multiplexing (SCM) signal for directly-detection applications; (3) to successfully detect the synthesized high-order SCM signal, an algorithm has been specially developed to deal with the possible degradation induced by the imperfect power ratio and relative phase difference between input SCM subcarriers. These works are important for the next step experimental demonstrations.

The two co-investigator have remained budgets in the first fiscal year. The budget will be shifted to the next year for use.
