Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究課題は,脳波データである多ユーザ,多チャンネル,多フレームような脳波データから,有用な目的成分を効率よく抽出する高階テンソルの同時分解法を構築・発展させることであり,また構築したテンソル分解法を基にして,信号処理アルゴリズムや,深層学習アルゴリズムを開発し,これらにより,脳死判定(BDD)や脳コンピュータインタフェース(BCI)システムに適用する.
2019年度の研究成果としては,国際ジャーナルに6篇,国際会議に8篇,計14篇の論文を公表した.その内,信号処理分野のトップレベルの国際会議である2019 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP, May 12-17,2019, Brighton, UK)に論文Randomized Tensor Ring Decomposition and Its Application to Large-scale Data Reconstructionが最優先論文奨を受賞した.論文採択・発表するだけでも採択率46.5%で,さらに1743篇採択した論文の中で厳選された12篇の受賞論文として特に優秀と評価されたものである.また人工知能分野のトップレベルの国際会議であるAsian Conference on Machine Learning (ACML2019)のSpecial IssueであるMachine Learningに“Rank Minimization on Tensor Ring: An Efficient Approach for Tensor Decomposition and Completion”が採択された.

理由
2019年度の研究成果としては,国際ジャーナルに6篇,国際会議に8篇,計14篇の論文を公表したが,2020年度の現時点では,すでに,国際ジャーナルに2篇,国際会議に2篇,計4篇の論文を投稿し,その一部はすでに採択され,公表される予定である.研究内容ににおいては、BDDにおける雑音除去問題、大規模データ処理問題,またBDD及びBCIシステムの実装問題である.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

研究内容であるBDDにおける雑音除去問題、大規模データ処理問題,BCIにおける推定速度問題,BDD及びBCIシステムの実装問題をほかの関連方法を提案する予定で、多方法の比較検討を行う予定である。応用面に関しては,BDD及びBCIシステムだけでなく,癲癇患者,精神病や鬱病など広く脳波手法応用を拡大していく予定である。

Causes of Carryover

2019年度ではコロナの影響で国際会議での発表を取りやめたため、その分を2020年度の国際会議研究発表ための旅費として使用する予定である。
