Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, we developed a general-purpose system for introducing foreign substances into human cells. A developed system (hybrid transfection system) is composed of a combination of shock wave and pulsed electric field using a commercially available electroporation cuvette introducing a piezoelectric material. We also applied this system to yeast (S. cerevisiae) and experimentally investigated its effect.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
