Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this research project, I have aimed at the development of next-generation spintronics devices and created magnetic layered compounds and their nanosheets.
Regarding layered double hydroxides (LDH) containing magnetic ions, I have found out the following phenomena: (i) the negative magnetic exchange coupling interaction by integrating the different LDHs, and (ii) the photomodulation of magnetic properties by integrating with semiconductor nanosheets.
Regarding transition metal tricalcogenides containing magnetic ions, I have found out the following strategies are effective: (i) long-term calcination with a gentle temperature gradient during synthesis, and (ii) ultrasonication in a polar solvent containing a base during exfoliation.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
