Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では，地球表層環境におけるジルコニウムの挙動を評価するためのジルコン・インデックスの開発を目的としている．
昨年度シングルコレクター型高感度高分解能イオンマイクロプローブ（SHRIMP-IIe）による微量元素分析を適応した，熱水変質作用の痕跡を持つ高温変成岩（珪長質片麻岩）中のジルコン（東南極エンダービーランド，ナピア岩体の露岩ハーベイ・ヌナタークより採取）について，さらに解析を進めた．分析結果より，当該岩石試料のジルコン中のリチウム（Li）含有量について，非変質部分で非常に高く，一方，変質部分では減少するという傾向があることがわかった．そこで，ジルコン中のLiの挙動について精査するため，Li同位体比分析手法開発を行った．
まず，より高精度な同位体比を得ることを目的に，マルチコレクター型のSHRIMP-IIe/AMCによるLi同位体比分析手法開発を行った．ファラデーカップ及び連続ダイノード電子倍増管を検出器に用いた場合，対象としていた試料と標準試料の含有量の差及び検出器のダイナミックレンジの関係から，分析が困難とわかった．今回の場合シングルコレクター型及びディスクリートダイノード電子倍増管を用いるのが最適であるため，その条件で同位体比データを取得した．分析結果はGoldschmidt2019にて報告を行った．また，当該試料中のジルコンを対象に，熱水変質作用における酸素同位体比の挙動をみるために，酸素同位体比分析を行った．
西南日本飛騨変成帯の打保花崗岩体の岩石試料から既に分離済みのジルコンを用いて，ジルコン中の微量元素分析用の試料ディスクを作成した．その際に，粒子外部形態及び内部組織の詳細な観察を行った．その後，当該試料ディスクをSHRIMP-IIeにて分析した．

Reason

2019年度はSHRIMPによる同位体比分析手法の開発及び追加データ取得のための分析準備及び分析とその成果報告を中心に活動した．特にLi同位体比分析については，マルチコレクター型SHRIMP及びシングルコレクター型SHRIMP双方の分析条件と分析精度を検討し，最適な手法を決定することができたため，今後の分析に活用することができる．
予定していた野外地質調査等は，山岳地域において行うため，天候等の条件を検討し，より安全に調査を行うという点を考慮して来年度へ延期した．

Strategy for Future Research Activity

熱水変質作用の痕跡を持つ高温変成岩（珪長質片麻岩）中のジルコン（東南極エンダービーランド，ナピア岩体の露岩ハーベイ・ヌナタークより採取）について得られた分析データ等について，国際誌での成果報告のため準備を進める．
試料調整の完了したアメリカ合衆国ミネソタ州ダルース複合岩体の斜長岩及びガボン共和国オクロ地域北部Bidodouma streamに産する珪長質凝灰岩に含まれるジルコンの，SHRIMP-IIeによる微量元素分析を実施する．また，SHRIMPの分析の進捗に合わせて，ダルース複合岩体ジルコン試料の湿式化学分析を進める．分析データは，上記の高温変成岩中のジルコンのデータと共に集約する．
西南日本飛騨変成帯（岐阜県）の打保花崗岩体及び周辺地域への野外調査と追加の試料採集を年度の前半に行い，採集試料の解析及び試料調整と分析を進める．また，酸素同位体比分析済みの試料について，MC-ICP-MSによるハフニウム（Hf）同位体比分析を行う．

Causes of Carryover

現地の悪天候等の条件を考慮し，2019年度に予定していた西南日本飛騨変成帯の現地での地質調査及び試料採集の回数を減少させたことで，調査のための費用分の差額が生じた．そのうち一部は，SHRIMP分析関連の消耗品等に使用した．残額は2020年度の当該地域の現地地質調査及び試料採集のための費用に使用する予定である．
