Outline of Annual Research Achievements

多殻目粘液胞子虫は生鮮海産魚喫食に伴うクドア食中毒の原因になると共に、市販段階での異物苦情や筋肉融解の原因ともなることから、その基盤的研究は食の安全と経済において重要性をもつ。日本近海および周辺海域に分布する種の記録あるいはその寄生状況は未だ不十分であることから、本課題に取り組んできた。生鮮ヒラメ(Kudoa septempunctata)喫食に伴うクドア食中毒に列した新たなクドア食中毒原因として、カンパチ寄生のUnicapsula seriolaeが強く疑われている。本種について南シナ海産ホソヒラアジを新宿主として確認するとともに、同海域産マルアジからUnicapsula aequilobataを新種記載した。本種はUnicapsula属16種目となり、本研究で収集した9種について十分な分子系統学的データが揃ったことで、同属の種同定の実施は格段に信頼度が高くなった。国内で流通するオヒョウやアブラカレイに寄生する種としてUnicapsula muscularisと共に新種Kudoa aburakareiの濃厚寄生を明らかにした。また、ジャワ海産クロボシヒラアジとボラから2新種(Kudoa javaensisとKudoa surabayaensis)を記録し、また、南シナ海産アジ類およびヒイラギ類から4新種を確認するとともに、Kudoa trachuriやKudoa javaensisについて新宿主記録を得た。国内産アカアジ、ムロアジ、マルアジ、オアカムロの体側筋にKudoa trachuriおよび未知種を新たに検出した。Kudoa属についても、形態学的特徴づけとともに18S/28S rDNA塩基配列データが充実してきており、食中毒原因の特定や養殖現場での問題発生に際しての原因種特定、また、そのリスクについて論じる基盤情報の充実が本研究により達成されつつあると考えている。
