Outline of Final Research Achievements |
N-Acylphosphatidylethanolamine (N-acyl-PE) is a phospholipid present in biomembrane and functions as a precursor of bioactive N-acylethanolamines. Recently, the ε isoform of cytosolic phospholipase A2 (cPLA2ε, also known as PLA2G4E) was identified as Ca2+-dependent N-acyltransferase. In this study, we analyzed biological roles of cPLA2ε.
