The purpose of this study is to find a biomarker that allows you to use blood metabolomics analysis, as well as studying the diagnosis and prognosis of gallbladder cancer.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

胆嚢癌は消化器癌の中でも手術の前の病理診断が困難で、癌であるのか、進行しているのかの判断が難しいときがある。
この研究を行うことにより、胆嚢癌の病理学的・遺伝子学的検索と化学療法の奏功、再発・生存率の検討から、これまでに無い胆嚢癌の効果判定因子、予後予測因子等を探索的に追求でき、その結果として、予後改善に寄与する新たな治療戦略の開発につながる。
