複数のdocetaxel耐性去勢抵抗性前立腺癌（CRPC）細胞株を用いて、耐性獲得に関与すると考えられる分子を同定し、さらにその発現を抑制し得るアンチセンスオリゴをデザインした。同オリゴの標的分子に対する活性阻害効果をin vivoで検討したが、期待通りの効果が得られず現在投与量などを調整し再度効果を検証中である。また、母細胞株および耐性株を皮下および同所移植等の方法でマウスに移植し、docetaxel単独、cabazitaxel単独およびdocetaxelとアンチセンスオリゴの併用投与を行い、その抗腫瘍効果も同時に比較解析したが、同様に動物実験を再試行中である。
