Outline of Annual Research Achievements

In the 2021 fiscal year, a hybrid hydrogel was constructed from the PEG polymer and crosslinkable nanotube, the inclusion of nanotube significantly increased the mechanical strength and controlled release property of PEG hydrogel.The nanotube-hybrid hydrogel may have potential application in contact lens. This finding suggested that PEGylation the melamine-nanoparticles could be effective in inproving the dispersibility and transparency issues in the melamine-nanoparticles hybrided contact lens. The related work was published in Polymer Journal (2022) 54:67-78;

Further, biodegradable supramolecular nanotube tailored for bio-responsive delivery nanocarrier was also constructed. The related work was published in Chem. Lett. 2021, 50, 1743-1746.
