Outline of Final Research Achievements |
It has been previously reported that in cancer cells, glucose metabolism is biased toward anaerobic metabolism. Our research so far has focused on amino acid metabolism. We examined the residual cancer cells during surgery. We succeeded in detecting cancer cells left in the tissue. We also clarified the metabolism of cancer cells and clarified that the sensitivity of anticancer drugs is changed by blocking some pathways of amino acid metabolism.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
